ReFind Originals in Rome!

Saturday, February 06, 2010 Image
"Hi Anita,
Perhaps you remember I purchased one of your Woof Packs last August.  I have been using it extensively and am even more in love with it than when I first received it (and I was pretty excited about it then!).  It's the bag that I use almost exclusively and always draws comments from friends.  Today I was in the center of Rome and I had my husband shoot a few pictures with the Roman Forum as a backdrop.  It would have been more appropriate to get a photo of the bag next to the bronze sculpture of the she-wolf, but that is inside the museum. I usually only tour that with visitors now but next time I'm in there, I'll get a picture.  In any case, the legend was born in the area around the Forum so I was in the right place.
I've been forwarding your name and website to anyone who expresses interest in my bag.  I hope to meet you one of these days and maybe catch one of the shows you take part in.
Happy Holidays to you from the Eternal City!
Debbie"

This is an email I received before the holidays and wanted to share with you. Debbie has given me permission and I always get so excited when people take the time and effort to let me know how they feel about their bags that I couldn't resist sharing this!  I too hope that I will meet Debbie in person one of these days!

How About a Teal Ruffled Clutch?

Saturday, January 23, 2010 The new Ruff Rider bags are selling quickly!  The Ruff Rider in Reds that I wrote about last week has sold, but I am working on more of these fun bags.  I am also beginning to make the ever popular ruffled clutch in new spring colors. I just listed this one in a beautiful transitional teal color. It is available to buy immeditately from my Etsy shop and is pictured on the Products page. Or if you're feeling like something a little bit different, how about this rugged, yet feminine black and silver zipper cuff, which is also a newly listed item. Just click on their pictures on the Products page to see more views of each item.

New Ruff Rider in Red

Friday, January 15, 2010 I have just listed this new red Ruff Rider Cross Body bag on Etsy!  All of my bags are made from recycled leather coats and leather remnants. The Ruff Rider is taking it a step further and recycling even the small pieces from making other bags that might otherwise be thrown away. I love putting the colors and shapes together and using even more of the leather bits and pieces I have laying around my studio. So far I have made the Ruff Rider in blacks, browns, tans, blues and reds. I have made it in 3 different styles (so far) and will post some pictures here and on Facebook. The Ruff Rider in red (say that fast, 10 times!) is available to purchase on the Products page from my Etsy shop now.

ReFind Originals is now at the Indianapolis International Airport!

Saturday, January 09, 2010 Next time you're traveling through Indianapolis be sure to look for ReFind Originals handbags and accessories at the Enroute Spa kiosk in the beautiful civic center at the new airport, or even better, stop by Enroute Spa in one of the concourses and experience a great massage and shop for one-of-a-kind products all handmade by Indiana artisans. I am thrilled to have ReFind Originals products included and am blown away by the talented artisans represented in this new endeavor at the airport called "Hip and Handmade in Indy." There is so much excitement and enthusiasm about locally handcrafted items at the airport. What a great idea to use the beautiful space at the airport to support local artisans and to give the world a glimpse at the talent here! Just a few days ago as I was dropping off several items (imagine taking 40 handbags through security), I had the pleasure of meeting one of the other artisans represented at the spa, Jessi of Two Seaside Babes, who makes some of the cutest crocheted hats and other items that I have ever seen! I am privileged to share shelf space with Jessi!

Here are a couple of representative items from Two Seaside Babes and ReFind Originals that you can look for at Enroute Spa at the Indianapolis International Airport.

New Designs!

Tuesday, December 29, 2009 It's always great to have the time to work on new design ideas. Now that the New York trip is over and the holidays are coming to a close I am beginning to feel the creativity flowing again. I hope to be posting lots of new things in the coming weeks. I just posted these new listings on Etsy. These little wristlets are super cute with the ruffle on the bottom, and the wrist strap is elasticized so it really stays securely on your wrist. The red one has a little pocket on the front with a flower to cover the internal magnetic closure. It's always good to utilize the existing pockets on the upcycled leather coats and jackets that I use to make all of my bags. You can find these two bags listed on the Products page!
